The Best Tents with Stove Jack for 4-Seasons

Winter Camping

Winter camping is a unique experience with its own opportunities, but it can be tough to stay warm. If you don’t have the right equipment, that is.

A tent stove and a tent with a stove jack make it easy to stay warm, even in frigid temperatures. So how do you choose one? With this guide, of course!

Here you have our list of the best stove jack tents. All the types of tents in this buyers’ guide are designed to be used with stoves. In fact, some of the tents come with their own stove. A tent with a chimney hole is perfect for keeping you warm in winter.

A tent stove is quite a hefty piece of equipment, so these tents aren’t for ultralight tents for backpacking. No, they’re for outdoor camping trips where you won’t be moving around a lot.

Russian Bear is an outdoor outfitter that specializes in hot tents great for winter camping in even the harshest weather conditions.

If you’re looking for the best winter tent with a stove jack, the Russian Bear is our choice. It’ll keep you extra-toasty in extreme weather and stands up to heavy rain and wind. It’s far from the most affordable on the market, but it’s the premium choice for the serious camper.

The camouflaged exterior is perfect for hunting or fishing expeditions and takes just a couple of moments to set up. It’s a 3-person tent without a stove or other gear and a 2-person with a stove.  The tent is actually tall enough to use bunk bed-style cots for maximum space efficiency.

Hanging organizers on the inner tent walls help keep small items organized, while ventilation valves keep the tent breathable.

The sidewall opens into a screen room with a wind and snow skirt to keep moisture out. The screen can also be removed turning the screen room into an awning. The zipper door allows access to the tent’s interior but is narrow at the bottom to prevent snow from coming in. The tent also comes with a fire-resistant mat to go under the stove to keep the tent and its contents safe.

We love that the tent keeps you warm but still allows campers to view the scenery outside the large windows. The mesh door and windows allow you to take in the view, release heat, or encourage extra ventilation when the weather isn’t as cold. But don’t worry, these windows have five layers so you won’t lose any heat when they’re closed.

And speaking of layers, the floor is not just single-layer or even just double-layer. It actually has three whole layers to provide insulation. It can also be detached for ice fishing.

As a cold-weather tent with a stove jack, there are no better on the market.

This cotton canvas bell tent has two stove jacks and is perfect for families.

The DANCHEL Cotton Bell Tent is a canvas stove pipe tent that has two separate stove jacks, one in the side and one in the roof. Multiple stove pipe vents allow you to place the stove in the most convenient position for your needs, or even have two stoves. As you can imagine, this is a 4-season camping tent that will protect users even when the temperatures drop.

The large version of this tent measures 16.6 ft in the diameter and covers 216 ft² of ground. This size is easily big enough for the official eight-person capacity. As such, it is our best family tent with a stove jack.

Both stove jack holes have a diameter of 3.9 inches. There are fire-resistant strips around the stove jacks to keep things safe, but you may want to invest in a fireproof mat to go underneath the stove for further protection.

Although it performs well in cold weather, this 4-season tent can be used in summer too! Simply unzip the bottom half of the tent and you’ll be rewarded with a high-quality canopy that provides shelter in the summer heat. It can be hard to find a cheap tent with a stove jack, but this is the most budget-friendly in our review.

The canvas tent uses heavy cotton materials that are waterproof, fire retardant, and resistant to mold. The only single negative of this canvas teepee tent with stove jack is its weight. In fact, the large tent weighs a whopping 83lb. The bell tent comes with a waterproof carry bag, set-up instructions, poles, guy-lines, and stakes.

3. Whiteduck Large Canvas Wall Tent

Built like a house, this is a stable tent that will keep you safe from the elements.

The Whiteduck Tent is a large framed tent with a stove jack, door, and multiple large windows. As you may see from the picture, the Whiteduck is basically a portable house. The single-room tent is available in four sizes: 10’x12’, 12’x14’, 14’x16’, or 16’x20’.

The stove port flap is positioned near the roof, where you can create your own kitchen or have a place to sit by the fire. The 5” stove jack has a heat-resistant silicon-coated opening that protects the fabric of your tent from the high temperate of your stove.

Another great feature of this tent is the windows. These Durable triangular windows are triple-layered and have a clear polyvinyl storm flap with a durable Velcro fastening. This allows you to have a clear view of the outside, without losing the heat from your stove.

It has an anodized aluminum frame with army duck canvas cotton fabric to create a solid construction that can withstand whatever is thrown at it. You’ll also receive a heavy-duty groundsheet which insulates against moisture and cold.

It will come as no surprise that this large, sturdy tent is not the lightest. In fact, the 10-person variety weighs a massive 379lb! This isn’t a tent you pop to the local park with. The Whiteduck is ideal for glamping or family camping for long durations. It can also be used as an indoor common area when camping with large groups.

The tent comes with a storage bag, rafter angle kit/couplers, rain tarp, PVC floor, guy lines, and stakes.

Final Thoughts on Tents with Stove Jacks

That’s all we have on tents with stove jacks. All three of our picks are great, so just pick the size and shape that works for you.
